A stingy little pane (flat bladed cane) which is perfect for over the knee discipline with its short length and light weight. It can be swung easily and in quick succession using your wrist, although there's no reason you can't put your whole arm into it if you wish. The sensation is a surface sting without the really sharp concentrated impact of a cane or the weighty follow through and deeper impact of a heavier paddle. At only 425mm long it makes a great travel toy too.
The black/brown streaked handle is made from Macassar ebony from South East Asia. It's a very heavy wood which will sink in water. It is botanically related to its more famous cousin - gaboon ebony from West Africa which is often completely black and used to be used to make piano keys.
