Confidentiality

Your personal details will not be shared with anyone.* That includes details collected via online orders, newsletter mailing lists, emails etc.

*Unless instructed to do so by a court order or other legally enforceable direction from an Australian law enforcement organisation.

Discretion

All items are posted in plain packaging - generally cardboard tubes for canes and thin paddles and cardboard boxes or lots of foam packing in a courier bag for paddles.

The sender will be identified as EMM, PO Box 185 Westgate NSW 2048

Items posted within Australia will not contain any description of the contents on the package.

Items posted overseas must contain a description of the contents on customs declaration forms. Contents will normally be described as "Wooden toys".

Returns

Breakages are extremely rare but they can happen. If a paddle or cane breaks due to faulty workmanship (highly unlikely :) or a fault in the wood or rattan (it's usually the tree's fault!) I will offer you the choice of a refund or a comparable replacement item if one is available. I may require the broken item to be returned to me so I can examine it to better understand the reason for the breakage.

Due to the personal nature of my creations I cannot offer returns if you change your mind.

Deposits

Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing. If I am unable to complete your order or provide the item(s) ordered your deposit will be refunded in full.

Commissions

Cancelling a commissioned order will result in the forfeiture of any payments already made, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to pay a deposit, balance or other required payment for a commissioned order within four weeks of the date of issue of the payment request may result in the commission being cancelled and any payments already made will be forfeited.

Currencies

All items on this website are priced in Australian dollars ($AUD) by default. Other currencies displayed on the site are calculated at current conversion rates and displayed to the nearest euro, pound etc.

GST (Goods & Services Tax)

There is no Australian GST payable on any purchases. Paddle and cane making is my hobby and I do not make or sell nearly enough to meet the threshold for charging GST.

Customs declarations and taxes for overseas purchases

Package contents will usually be described as wooden toys on customs declaration forms.

All import duties and taxes in the destination country are the responsibility of the purchaser.

The full value of the package will be declared on the customs form. I will not under-declare the value of the package to avoid import duties or taxes.

Cookies

The cookie settings on this website are set to 'allow all cookies' to give you the very best experience. (Well that's the way the website template said it so it must be true :) The first time you visit this site you will be asked to click 'Accept Cookies' as required by European Union regulations. After that the cookie monster shouldn't bother you again.
